PERSONAL RELATED QUESTIONS:
Q: What is your Profession? Have you had any other professions prior to your current one? A: Currently working for H and R block, it's seasonal work to get me through my studying for computer networking, which I should be doing starting this summer.
Q: Besides poker, what else interests you? A: I've messed around a little with backgammon, but give me a good game of hearts any day.
Q: Whats your favorite book/ movie? A:I avoid movies, although Ocean's 11 was pretty good.
Q: What are your pet peeves? A: People who won't listen to anyone but themselves. Talking on the phone, and most of all: BAD DRIVERS!
Q: Your worst fear? A: Nothing really comes to mind, but I do have plans for where I want to be in 5 years, I guess that failing would probably qualify.
Q: Take us through a day in the life for you: A: wake up at 730. 800 convince myself yes I really DO have to get out of bed. 9am start work. 1115 go to lunch 1145 back to work. 530 head home. 545 play games on the computer. Trying to get back to my workout schedule right now, I've been slacking off on that.
Q: Who are your heroes? A: Patton, Edison, Washington, Madison.
Q: Do you know personally or have met anybody famous? A: No, but maybe the 2009 WSOP...
Q: Explain what a perfect day would be like for you: A: Wake up at 730, actually GET out of bed then. Workout for a half hour, brief warm shower, eat breakfast and go to work. Come home, play poker for 2 hours and have the rest of the day to do whatever.
POKER RELATED QUESTIONS: Q: What is your biggest poker cash or accomplishment? A: Biggest accomplishment I would say was a win in a $2 rebuy tournament, it was my first big pay day and I was excited for about a week. Biggest cash was a $10 knockout tournament on full tilt, I made the final table and a $1000 pay day.
Q: Are you more of a tournament player or ring games? What buy-in/stakes do you play at? A: I mostly play ring games, though my results indicate I'm better at tournaments I just rarely have 5 hours to commit to a big tournament field. Ring games I'll go from .25/.50 to 1/2 fixed limit to find a full table of the game I want. Ideally I want a 1/2 Stud Hi Lo game with 8 players.
Q: Do you play competitively or for recreation? How much time per week do you spend on poker? A: I play pretty competitively, I'm not trying to go pro any time soon but I am trying to get my game better all the time. Although I'm on a little break right now to settle down from a stinging last session I try to play 5-10 hours a week.
Q: Do you have a favorite poker pro? If so, why are they your favorite? A: I like Daniel Negreanu's openness with fans, and Dan Harrington for writing an excellent series of books.
Q: Briefly explain how you got into poker (Possibly include age, influences, and location) A: I saw some advertisements for the WPT (season 1) on the travel channel. At the time Mythbusters wasn't on then so there was nothing decent on to watch. I resorted to watching WPT at of boredom. Then came Moneymaker. Having lived in Nashville I was pulling for him and then he won. I also learned something from those broadcasts I didn't know before: you could play poker online. That led to play money games on yahoo (limit), a google search led to partypoker.
Then I found Full Tilt, and the freerollfourms had freerolls so I checked out the site. FRF soon offered a league on JetSetPoker, and the winnings I got from that founded my first serious efforts to play poker.
Q: What is your favorite poker site to play on? A: I would have to say full tilt.
Q: Do you have a favorite (Hold'em) hand? A: Aces show the best profit, ergo it's my favorite hand.
Q: As of today, what are your poker ambitions? A: 1 or 2 events in the 2009 WSOP. Also 3/6 limit games by the end of this year.
THF RELATED QUESTIONS: Q: Who's poker related posts on THF do you find most useful or most agree with? A: Well, I tend to have a very different approach to the game, but probably the one who is most similar is wisak7.
Q: If you could choose one player on THF to play heads up against for $1000 who would you choose? A: Wisak7, because I know we would cut a deal and split the money. If that's not allowed then CalifNaughti so even if I loose I can be happy for the person who wins.
Q: Who on THF do you think is most likely to be successfully in their poker career? A: Chrisdaman77, most likely to master the super-aggressive style which is how the top pros play.
Q: Who on THF do you think is most likely to be the next person banned? A: I thought it would be me the time I sucked out on Cowboy by hitting quads.
Q: Who are your top 5 players on THF: A: I reserve the right to amend this the next time I play, but as it stands and in no order, chrisdaman77, wisak7, CalifNaughti, Kaartkeizer, theprofessor
