PERSONAL RELATED QUESTIONS:
Q: Care to share any family related info with THF (have any kids? a spouse? etc.)? A: Family related info..lets see..I grew up with 5 brothers and sisters in the bay Area, In my life we always had family members living with us..my grandmother and my dad's sister who a nun..a nun on the run as we always put it. she escaped the convent but that didn't stop our parents putting us through Catholic school! I had a great childhood full of mischievous adventure and what nots. I met and got married to Steve, we have 3 absolutely beautiful children. Each one is special in there own way. My oldest is Stevie who is 27, she is gorgeous, then their is Marie who is 16 (my powderpuff football gal) and last but not least is David who is 13 and will someday be playing for the Yankees. I also have 2 beautiful grandchildren Tyler and Jasmine
Q: What is your Profession? Have you had any other professions prior to your current one? A: I think everyone may know this already. I own my own business which is very successful. I run a daycare out of my home and we usually have a lot of kids here. I have a helper who comes in to relieve me every now and then, do cleanup etc.I spend a lot of time doing arts and crafts, reading stories,kissing booboo's, playing board games, referring sports etc. I really LOVE my job and know that I am doing something in my life that has a positive effect on children. I believe if you treat children with respect and understanding they will grow up and do the same. After all..someday they will be running our country.
Prior to this I worked in a Art and History Museum for 7 years. I gave tours, helped with the curator setting up exhibits and worked side by side with the director on a few projects. I have handled alot of valuable artifacts and pieces of art work in my time. My favorite exhibit I helped set up was the Roy deForest exhibit. I LOVE his work!
Q: Do you have any other hobbies besides poker? A: I have many hobbies..I love to garden,travel,paint,go to concerts ( i have 2 concerts coming up.one is Neil Young, Metallica and John Mayer Oct 27-28 the other is Peter Frampton Nov1,baseball games, football games,going to the movies, making things out of bark and shells, I love being creative and outdoors when its not over 100..is getting a pedicure and a massage considered a hobby?
Q: Whats your favorite book or movie? A: Favorite book ever is: "Dove" by Robin Graham..Robin Graham sailed around the world when he was just 16 in a 35 ft sloop (called Dove) in the 70's..he was my hero..still is! I can talk about Robin Graham forever...hes a great man!
Favorite movie is: "Pulp Fiction"
Q: What are your pet peeves? A: People who make fun of children..with disabilities. This also goes for adults with disabilities too. Bossy people, people who act like they are listening but aren't, people who are never ready to go when I am. Impolite people are the worst, people who don't see beautiful things when its right in front of them
Q: Your worst fear? A: Dying young
Q: Whats your biggest goal in life? A: To finish writing the 2 stories I have inside of me. I have to accomplish this. Its very important to me. Whether or not they get published I really need to do it. They need to be illustrated too.
Q: Take us through a day in the life for you: A: lets see...wake up..make beds..shower..have coffee.. go for walk...feed daycare kids..play with kids..paint..make crafts..clean up..referee the kids...read stories..nap time..garden, play poker..lunch time..karaoke, board games they get picked up,go to THF read emails..clean..play poker..buses arrive..snacks..play board games...make dinner..things slow down at 5 here..talk with people I know..go over homework..depending on the day go to sports events with my kids or movies..hot shower..slip into jammies and play poker or watch movies.
Everything changes on weekends..sleep in..read, relax, shower, go out for breakfast/lunch sometimes, car wash, movies, baseball games, go out with friends, B&N for coffee
Q: Explain what a perfect day would be like in your eyes: A: In a perfect world I'd take my family to the beach and picnic..sip fancy drinks with lil straws and umbrellas..the sun smiling on us all..everyone smiling..walk through the ocean waves..feel it tickle my toes..play Frisbee collect shells, listen to ocean waves as I look into his eyes...go home and make homemade clam chowder and BBQ Porter House Steaks and lobster..kiss and make love all night..in a perfect world
POKER RELATED QUESTIONS:
Q: What is your biggest poker cash or accomplishment? A: Its never about the cash for me..its about if I can make the FT and win it. Making my very first FT (even though I didn't win it) is by far my biggest poker accomplishment in my life. I will NEVER forget that.
Q: Do you have a poker Nickname? A: Cali
Q: Are you more of a tournament player or ring games? What buy-in/stakes do you play at? A: I'm more of a MTT player and I do love to play SnG's. If I play a MTT I am leaning towards the 10$ and up games. I prefer the 45 person SnG's at 3$ and up money levels. Right now I am playing the 12/180 person games.
Q: Do you play competitively or for recreation? How much time per week do you spend on poker? A: I play to win but its also for recreation. I really don't get too serious about and I never get mad if I lose. I don't know how much time I spend playing it but a lot I think.
Q: Do you have a favorite poker pro? If so, why are they your favorite? A: Phil Hellmuth is my favorite poker player. I just love a man with a lil attitude and spunk along with a lil spit and vinegar in him towards other people...don't ask me why..I don't know. I don't care if he has a tantrum and mouths off..I LOVE IT! I think he is right almost all the time anyway. I am so entertained watching him, I also love the way he treats his wife..he's always so loving towards her..you can see he adores her... and he goes to her for support when he is needing that hug.
Q: Breifly explain how you got into poker (Possibly include age, influences, and location) A: I got involved about 4 years ago..Steve and Kelly were my biggest influences. Steve more than Kelly..Kelly and I just liked to gamble period! But he turned me on to it before Steve.
Q: What is your favorite poker site to play on? A: I love playing on Poker Stars,Absolute and UB
Q: Whats your favorite tourney format? (Possibly include ideal # of entrants, blind level timer, type of game, buy-in, etc.) A: I like 10 min blinds, 500 players, NLTH, 15$ buyin
Q: Do you have a favorite (Hold'em) hand? A: KK is my absolute favorite hand ever. When I hold them in my hand or have them online I feel power..the ultimate power.

Q: When you are knocked out of a tourney, is it most likely because: You made a mistake, the other player is a donkey, or poker is rigged? A: poker is rigged! <wink>
Q: If Phil Helmuth were to claim to be the best NLHE player in the world right in front of you (God forbid), do you: Challenge him to a heads up match, ask for his autograph, or point out his lack of math skills in his famous quote "Poker is 100% skill and 50% luck."? A: I would challenge him in a heartbeat and stare into his eyes the whole time <wink>
