good place to learn

i have just recently started playing the $1 + 0.10 sit and go tourny at ub and i find the quality of player better than you would expect for a dollar entry (maybe i have been lucky) even though i havent won money i aint lost much either. but i have learnt more than i would in freeroll.

it could just be im rubbish and they are just a wee bit better than me

Good to see that you are learning the game with the small ante. I am surprised that you are getting quality play at such a low dollar amount, but good for you.

what is ub? I have never heard of it. Is it a good poker site to play on? Are there any freerolls at ub?

Never played on UB, Pokerstars is fine for me. To learn just play smart

ub - ultimatebet, and it has five or six freerolls a day olysports, but as ive said in other posts you need to be tight for first hour as there are a lot of idiots who go in every hand get lucky then sit out so get through first hour and you have a decent stack of chips you should do ok.

the best freerolls to place in are the ultimate points as you can use these to enter sit and go tournaments that pay out in real $$$

i agree with what jones says more or less - for 1$ the standard of these tourneys unless you play at times when the only americans online are drunk and or very tired the standard is pretty high . Because the blind structure is very slow to rise there is a great oppertunity for skill to tell.

No-one is going to get rich playing 1$ but it is a good way to move from freeroll sit and goes and will help increase your bankroll and improve your game. UB are as jonah says one of the better sites for enjoyable freerolls

i learned a ton playing UB freerolls. then using the UB points for sngs. helped a couple aspects of my game. i definately learn to be patient. i played late nite. i learned to change up my game too. good learning site. not to happy with their toury schedule. but, i havent been there in a bit. it may have changed.
