Question getting the shaft.

ive bin hearing some things about UB and i was just wondering if anyone has had the same problems...My buddy put down a bet on the super bowl and won something like $170 but when UB put the money in his account it was only $155 and he had to write half a dozen emails before they credited him with the other $15 they owed. I know this sounds strange as i have never had a problem with any sites ive bin a part of but if youve had this problem let me know so i can decide if i want to hit up UB. Thanks
Dave

Dave, I have never experienced any problems from Ultimate Bet. Seem to be a first rate organization. I have a buddy who got me hook and he has loved it the whole time he has been involved. I would be curious for what reason your bubby was given for the incorrect amount.

I played UB for 1 year and heavy during the summer of 2002. If things have changed then they absolutely were cheating back when I was on the site. For, if they were honest from the start, why would they need to evolve their dealing engine? They play to a market, like all the sites here, who complain. Some complain there are not enough Pairs on board, so they tweak the engine. If they have evolved 1 degree, any site, then they have a bias mechanism at work. While I played, I had a spreadsheet, and listed every hand and flop, turn and river. I recorded over 500 hands during a given week. UB, does something, Empire and PokerStars does not, they produce many more hands that give the appearance of someone else is going to win, but if you hang in there till the end, you ofter win. This maximizes rake. UB is about maximum rake. If you want to have your chips shaved over the duration of hours, even days, then this is the place. They monitor take each day and will adjust the deal accordingly. To them you are all slot machine players. I also won a tournament entry chip, a TEC, and I don't know how to use it! They said one isn't enough you need two! Then, someone said I could spend it. I said how. They said, just go to the tournament that requires a chip. I did. There was no BUTTON to submit the chip for payment!

Recomendation: Stay away. No money there.

Hard to say about a NON-USA based casino giving any money back They make up their own fecal policies. The money changers will also double-dip when they can and block your use of their services until you pay what you don't owe. The Neteller ATM card is a fool's game and the manager himself, will frustrate you to the point you want to go to Alberta and throttle the pricky, little S.o.B. I heard about a tactic where you can charge up $200 bucks on Firepay or Neteller, and tell your bank to block the account to them. You should have the institution name from previous business. They can't do a thing to you. They're Non-USA based. USA laws don't apply to either of you. They won't come to the USA to take you to small claims court. They charge the poker site! Gee, too bad. Well, the poker site won't come to the USA to go into a court. They are like drug dealers in that USA courts scare them. They might find out too much and they will have to explain how they are fair. However, that won't settle in a US court. Prove it, will stop them cold and keep them away. They can't. They would have to turn over their algorithms to the FCC and get certified under 19 CFR 11. A validated system? No way. The US Govt would have to compile and dispense the routine to be sure, and make the routine auditable, which takes the code out of their hands. They'd have to file for an upgrade each time they tweak the code. And why would they be tweaking an "honest" engine? Why would the dealing engine have to be altered in any way? P.S. when they hate you will keep giving you KK or QQ. How easy is that to beat? You go all-in and hey, look across from you at the player with the chips, who just also happens to have the Ace that will beat your hand. These sites are entertaining for a $1 buck tournament, but no money is available, unless they use your face for advertising. Most of the tournament winnings is chipped off as you continue to play anyway. I know, it has happened consistently. When I really want to make money, I go to a real casino, not a virtual one. A computer can out-screw a human dealer, and crush players, 1000's at a time, and with you not suspecting it, because the majority of players do not have the technical background to understand what is happening behind the screen. That's when the insults fly. But they are made mostly by people who don't know.

If you disagree with me, then be reasonable and civil. Your sarcasm only insults your intelligence and is a very poor substitute for your lack of it. If you have compelling evidence and argument, then place it here for us all to read and learn from. If this forum becomes an insult room, we've not helped police the very sites that need it. Arm people with information that can be useful. The information I provide does not hurt anyone. It gives the individual a chance to evaluate the poker site in a different light that may one day help them get out. The poker site can go broke then, instead of a person.
