yea i had 2 dollars on pokerstars and went to 1 cent 2 cent No limit Tables and played probably 1 out of every 15 hands lol... but now im up to 13 dollars and hope to soon be up to much more :-)
I only have a very small account on poker stars so i play at some of the small stake tables. I have always been a tight player, so, of course, i'm going to continue to play tight and conservative. It is crazy how all of these people bet, raise, call, whatever with little to nothing. Most of the times I do lose with my nice pocket hands to horrible pocket hands that seem to hit every time. I am kinda like you though, I started off with $1 in my account and now i have close to $10. I know this doesnt sound like much to anyone, but it is fun for me to play with and i treat it as if it were much more money. congrats on the money gain.
I have played at Ultimate Bet and Poker Stars and have a hard time ever winnig at UB because it is like you said that everyone seems to stay on trash cards and will wind up with a winning hand.
i will agree UB has loosened a bit. still a bit strange to play there after getting use to PS or PP. i have been at UB and watched guys get eaten up in seconds. other times the whole table plays almost the same and we would push chips around the table. freerolls at UB are crazy. all in almost every hand. nice turn around with the bankroll.
