Initial Impressions of Touchstone Poker....really bad???

I waited til today to get the download and installation + account setup since it was noted that the promo was redeemable after today 5pm est. however the downloads that were done yesterday had recieved the money before 5pm est today (some even got it yesterday i believe) Going by what was suppose to be the rules of the promo, i guess left me behind many who did not wait., who knows what # i was ...all i know im not in the first 100 thats for sure if they were fulfilling this promo starting yesterday. Well even though it has reached 100 they should still welcome all THF members to get this bonus since they have not been so good anyway. more players would benefit every1,..even them. they could look at the money they are giving us as money used for the purchase of the software...since the sw is so bad, without its bugs bieng fixed its basically trash, we could be considered beta testers and help them by complaing about its areas of trouble. well thats my 2 cents about the promo. The pokerroom i cant talk about since i didnt even get to play do to its disabilities...lol---its not allowing me to sit on any table, free or not. so far i dont think they will make it very far ...See ya guys

Spoke with some girl...forgot her name at the live chat and she told me to hold to check....so i waited and was told about a minute later that she had credited the $, and needed me to close the software and re-open it...im between that now...lets see ....i am opening it...is it there?

Is it worth dling? Depends if u wana dl it play on it and realize why you still have to love your AP PP and w/e other sites you play on then yes do it. Otherwise Id rather make sweet love to a meat grinder then use this site.

I've been playing a ring game (real money) for about an hour now and am not experiencing the same issues that I had last night at the play money table. That doesn't necessarily mean that the issues have been corrected (although I did have to download an update when I logged into today).

One more issue that I have is there is no way to check on the number of raked hands you have towards your bonus. I just talked to support and they looked it up for me and said I have two raked hands after playing over an hour. I figure it is probably updated at regular intervals, so I'll check in the morning again and see if I have a more reasonable number. I asked the support lady (mine was Anna) if there was a way I could check this for myself and her response was "I guess no". It just doesn't fill me with confidence that the support reps are "guessing" about how their software works.

I'm still not a fan of this site at all, but I do like Bluff magazine so it was worth the hassle of going through this mess if they actually come through with that. I'll probably try to work off my deposit bonus in the next couple of weeks, but can't seeing me playing a single hand past that on this site. So far they've done absolutely nothing to impress me. Near as I figure the owners of this site (like so many others) figure that they can cash in on the poker craze by simply putting a site up and they are trying to get it up with the very least expense possible. I seriously doubt this site will last long unless they make major changes and put on a huge publicity campaign to get some of the people they've disillusioned back for another try. And that group would include every person who has visited the site so far I'm pretty sure.

Here's my reply to them. I'm not sure that it will be received very well.

Sorry guys, $5 doesn't cut it. I do this for living and am not going to spend a few hours detailing to you how to make your site better for $5. I can answer questions 1-4 in a minute but could write a book on question 5.

I'll give you answers to 1 through 4

1 No Limit Texas Holdem
2 No. I'm not impressed by the site and I do not know that my funds are secure or escrowed (as Poker Stars does)
3 Tournaments and S&G's. I do not play ring tables
4 Not too much. You're new and your software is slow, buggy and has no bells and whistles.
5 See above

I hope you don't take offense to this but you are years behind your competition and the poker boom has already blossomed. I will be willing to help but only if I am fairly remunerated (cash not Poker $$$).

I played one S&G yesterday, on your site, and to say the least it was brutally painful.

Another major issue with this site is you can sit out through the blinds and play for free. I've been seeing many people sit out every time the blinds come around to them and then sitting back in when the blinds pass and they don't have to ante up.

that is a huge flaw. Someone could sit back for AA and KK and sit out every other hand
