instead of playing at play money tables (which are too loose) id reccomend playing the 1 cent tables and then move up once you are making a profit.  |
excellent suggestion. I highly reccomend this strategy. Play money is good for about 2 weeks if you play a lot or about a month if you play 30 minutes a day but after a while it will harm your game. I got really good at play money tournaments and games to the point I was never losing (well not really but I was winning more than most people) and when I got into real money games I lost. Now my confidence is shaken and I know now that I will only get better by playing (and losing) real money. When you are playing low stakes the threat is there so it keeps the game honest enough where you can really learn to play.
