i totally disagree

yes there are only 4 aces - the problem being that when the cards are dealt most players will play an ace - so its not like making a pair of 5s where you dont have to worry about the other 5 as its been folded, someone will more than likely still be in the hand. The main problem being that when it comes to a split pot your gonna get your ass kicked more times than you win.

Start using pokertracker or something similar - after 2000 hands or whatever look back at your stats and see the % of hands won with AX and the % of hands won. It will surprise you.

Agree with this?
i agree with this fonz. im always tempted to play the hands just of the ace, but in the end your losing more than your winning

i like that hand better than pocket aces....every time i get aces in the whole i lose...whats up with that...im not gonna go thru the scenario with ya but it always ends up with someone staying with king jack offsuit and the end up getting 2 pair..thats ridiculous

You should never play aces period unless you go all in.

I love to play A anything suited...if I have A low kicker unsuited it all depends on the bet and what is flopped....sometimes i get lucky sometimes I fold

instead of playing at play money tables (which are too loose) id reccomend playing the 1 cent tables and then move up once you are making a profit.
excellent suggestion. I highly reccomend this strategy. Play money is good for about 2 weeks if you play a lot or about a month if you play 30 minutes a day but after a while it will harm your game. I got really good at play money tournaments and games to the point I was never losing (well not really but I was winning more than most people) and when I got into real money games I lost. Now my confidence is shaken and I know now that I will only get better by playing (and losing) real money. When you are playing low stakes the threat is there so it keeps the game honest enough where you can really learn to play.

I will play A 2 or A3 if it suited mabye even A 4 suited but A5 through A10 i won't unless it is down to four of less people. On a table with four or less i'll Make A decent size bet on just the Ace no matter what the kicker is. It may burn you if someone goes over the top, but then i'll probably just fold or goe all-in if I think they are tring to steal the pot. and nobody I repeat nobody steals my pot.

If you can see a flop only by limping in wouldn't it be worth a look at AT?
