You invested $150,000 on how to play poker? Poker is a game of instinct. You either have it or you don't.

i agree that there are certain people who will never be great at poker - however, by reading the right books etc most people can get competent enough to play well

depending on your chip count, intuition, and players at the table.... ace with a low kicker is something to see a flop with just because the extremely high card, low straight draw.... maybe 3 of your suit comes up.

I regularly fold Ace with low kicker because it has ended up losing me money and you usually don't hit the two pair with your low kciker anwyay and if there is just an ace on the board you are probably outkicked to someone else with an ace.

instead of playing at play money tables (which are too loose) id reccomend playing the 1 cent tables and then move up once you are making a profit.
I think the penny tables are just a bad a play money 80% of the players see the flop as opposed to say $1/2 table where it's more like 25 or 40 % see the flop.

Agree with this?
A9 suited or lower I will play in late position only and my goal is playing the flush draw.
In a full table I only play AT or higher, plus you have to know who your playing against is this person loose or tight, the tighter the player the better your kicker.no offense but hope is for suckers.

I know aces look pretty but you have to play them like you would play any other pair, be careful of the kicker or be aggresive and make them think youve got a king instead of a 3

I would definately agree with this in that I would rather have 2-7o than A-X0 because I won't be tempted to play 2-7o from any position. Even when i get A-Xs, I am tempted and reluctant at the same time if the kicker is low because it can turn into a monster if u catch the flush, but if all you catch is the ace than it can get you into some trouble.

wow...I cant believe some people's thought about Ace with Low Kickers...Ace is an Ace is an Ace...first off there is 4 in a deck THATS it..if one comes on the flop that leaves 2 ACES left..1 outta 25 thats and you are worried about someone with a higher kicker...Ace 8 you now have a 50% chance of having a higher hand if someone managed to get another ace.. Unless someone is Slow playing there Ace King Ace Queen or Ace Jack you should already know by there raises if they have you beat...again PLAY THE PEOPLE NOT THE CARDS..no matter what the ace is I will play the Acemaybe not call a raise but I will see a flop 95% of the time..and really for the people with the fake table's stop it...if you are losing that often to an Ace maybe u should go play checkers.

I never play aces with low kickers unless on the button and everyones folded or possibly if there suited.
