The highest I've got to at limit is $3/$6 on Ultimate Bet which is meant to have to least amount of bad players on the net, and to honest I still find people will call down raises preflop, on the flop or even on the turn with mediocre hands.

IMO, if you face a raise on the turn you're usually up against a good hand and need to look at what your opponent could have. It's usually going to be 2 pair at worst or a lot of people will do it with TPTK athough I advise against this. I usually do this on the flop.

The better the player obviously the more respect your raise will get but you've also got to think about their ability to bluff raise and slow play etc. Therefore, there's more chance you will get outplayed.

I did find moving from 0.50/1 to 1/2 was a lot of difference at UB though.
I agree .... 3/6 is a very good game but ..... it is hard o get the people to drop in any limit
Ive played from .5/1 to 20/40 .. while 20 / 40 is a great game ... you still get loose weak plyers in there ;(

yea i havent read that one either
i can never win at limit holdem
what i dont like about it is that it is almost inpossible to bluff!
the good thing about limit is that you feel more safer because you know you cant lose everything in one hand

if i were playing at a regular table (doesnt matter the stakes) i would much rather play limit
BUT if i were in a multi table tournament i would rather play no limit

I play 2/4 limit holdem at the casino in Michigan...its one of the few games where you can raise people to the river and they will call with a low pair..because by the time they realize that there hand is destroyed they are so pot committed that they cant fold..again in a limit game...the check raise is prolly the only way to get people out...especially for the poker players that think they are pro's but just watch ESPN...you will find out everyone fears the check raise...
the check raise is all about intimidation:-D

in my opinion the only game that you can truly bluff is a nl or maybe a pl game if it has high enough blinds. o therwise the raise is just seen as whatever they just put in so it makes you fell more commited with a weaker hand.

I play at Canterbury Card Club in Minnesota and its all PL here. As for the whole bluffing thing I think it depends on the situation as well. You could have a great hand pre-flop and have more that half the table call you just to see the flop since its so inexpensive. After the flop however you could get a little more leeway and try to bluff at it. Last time I went I got a couple of people to fold like that with a low pocket pair and my over cards

Limit is the worst, you have to wait till the stakes get bigger then u might be able to bluff a couple pots.
