odds of hitting a set on the flop?

the odds of hitting a set i thought were 13%?? at least thats what ive bin using so if anyone knows forsure then it would be a big help.

In limit games I will call, sometimes raise with 77 and lower about 60% of the time. I try to mix it up with pp just because when the hit they can be very profitable when the hit espcially when someone has hit AK and hit a pair.

Dont know what it is , but I like to play flush draws more so than str8 draws. Just feels like the odds are better to hit the flush. I know this isnt the case, just feels that way.

I thought you are 16 to 18% preflop odds to hit your set with a pocket pair? I don't know I thought I read it somewhere.

THE TRUE ANSWER

According to Doyle (Super System), and I quote, "The probability that if you hold a pair, at least one more of that kind will Flop"....11.76% of the time, or the odds being 7.51 to 1------"The probability that if you have a Pair AFTER the Flop, at least one more of that kind will turn up (on the next two cards)"....8.42% of the time, or the odds being 10.9 to 1.------------I hope this helped you out.
