Question Mixing up your play

I tend to play tight-aggressive, playing premium hand on 10-way tables, and playing them mostly legit. I usually don't bluff until i've won a pot or two, and have some kind of read on the opponents in the hand.

What i'm finding is that the better players are getting a read on me that I only play good hands. I can tell they are betting strong into less-than-impressive flops because they can put be on high cards.

I've heard many times that it's best to "mix your play" to throw your opponents off, but never really understood what that meant exactly. I've tried just playing less-than premium hands occationally, but all that does is increase my rate of loss between the times I finally win a big pot.

Could someone give some specific examples of how to mix your play without deviating from whatever system of play works for you?

Well first of all you go to give me thought of what u think premium hands are? Try suited connectors(Y) they mix up your play, try even raising with them a bit preflop and if you smoke with flop with 4-7-2, and ur holding 5-6 with a straight and a flush draw, they bet into you, hopefully giving you pot odds, or implied odds. You hit, you mixed it up, and made money on pot odds, you miss... and in the long run u make money on pot odds... Ok and to all the uber tight players, im not saying do this EVERYTIME, or to call the flop if you missed it, or to even raise pre-flop everytime, just something like that to show them that you can mix it up, and you can throw them off balance, i play pretty tight myself, and do this if ive been playing tight @ a table for a while... Eventually they start checking when you do have high cards, and giving you free cards, or maybe even a bluff or two. I know thats hard when your tight, but just experiment with something like this, and you might a way to mix it up, because this is my way of mixing it up.

Generally I'm playing premium hands, as in:

AA-99
Any combo of A-10 suited
AK, AQ, KQ offsuit
