Found this article interesting. Notice he uses the term big blind and not big bet. Acording to his theory if you have a bankroll of $200 You should be playing $1/$2. Hell I have nearly that and am still playing .25/.50. Maybe I'm wrong. Perhaps someone who is a good player only needs this much, but it seems a little low to me. Opinions?
great aricle
remember your thread about multitabling - he actually states 'This means if you have a $400 bankroll you should consider playing at a $2 table or two $1 tables.'
nah, seems rubbish to me. The bankroll of a gambler and one that doesn't really know what he's talking about.
I could write something on the net but that doesn't make it true.
You don't need more of a bankroll if you're multi tabling. Think about it. All you're actually doing is playing more hands at the same time but the whole point in having a decent banktoll is so if you're a good player you should never go bankrupt.
if you follow the link on that page to the professional poker site, the new player page has some good advice. It says that playing with play money can actually hurt your money game when you start playing as your used to playing so loose on the net. Very true in my opinion
That sounds exactly right to me. Of course it is tough to stay so strict, i find myself on runs where i push the limits up, maybe too quick sometimes, but i'm fairly confident that it's my bankroll not my play holding me back.
