Default Betting All In After the River

I was playing in a $10 MTT on PS today and was being criticized for my betting all in after the river came up. I had the nut flush and was walking the dog to a player who also had a flush, and left him with only 200 chips left and he was pissed. A few hands earlier I also went all-in with the nut boat after everyone checked down to the river. I could have thrown out a value bet and maybe won a total pot of 100 chips (it was early in the tourny low blinds) but I was hopeing someone might have called and double me up. I see it happen all the time. He said that play got him so mad, he called me with his weak flush. He called me a few other unkind things before being knocked out a few hands later. Did I miss something here. Is it bad etiquete to go all in on the River.

lol, who cares what they think, theyre probably just mad because they dont get to see what you get simple cus they dont have the chips to call, however allins are mostly after the flop and turn because there usually used to force the opponent to make a decision, or at least thats what supersystem says , lol

I've run into this a lot. I have a king high flush and bet it hard on the flop and turn and get smooth called and then see the guy push all in on the river. I'm pretty certain I'm beat, but sometimes I call, mostly just when I'm in a position that it won't hurt me too much. Most of the time I am beat in situations like this, but surprisingly quite a bit of the time I find that someone either missed whatever they were drawing to, sometimes they hit a 4 flush, and are just trying to buy the pot or I'll find they have a weaker flush and think I'm trying to buy the pot.

But as far as going all in on the river, when I have the nuts, that is what I do if I think there is any chance at all of getting a call. I think it's a good play because you want to get as much as you can from the pot. I think this is especially good when there are multiple people still in the pot at the river because there is a good chance at least one of them will look you up.

Eric is right, who cares what others think about your play. Unless you know that you did something stupid and wrong (which in this case it sounds like not) don't worry about what others say. They are poor losers when they criticize you.
