Default Why some get cracked more than others

I know there are alot of posts made on this site about big hands getting cracked and a hand I played this weekend may shed a little light onto why this happens alot more to some of us than others. Here is the hand

I was in late position with KQ suited in .25/.50 NL and I raised it up to 2$. I only got one caller, we will call him Mr Loose Agressive or Mr LA for short since I cant remember his name.

Anyway, the flop comes A,K,x, rainbow. Now I go ahead and raise it another 2$ and Mr LA comes over the top of me and makes it 7$ to go.

Now, normally I would fold this hand right here. BUT, I look at my notes, and I remember this this same fellas was betting the crap out of K8 and A3 when he hit his high card on 2 other occasions. So, I go into the think tank and re-raise all in ( I had about 20$ left in front of me)

Now, my thinking was this:

1)He might have Ax: If he has a hand like A3 again, maybe he will let it go since I have been representing a big hand pre-flop and post flop.

2)He may be playing a hand like KJ, I mean, he was betting the crap out of K8 so why not KJ or KT.

3) He may be bluffing, because I had a tight image at the table

4) He might have might have AK or AQ and I am going to lose.

after thinking, I determined that he either had a K with a weaker kicker or weak ace based on my observations of his play.

So he calls and flips over AJ

I hit a K on the Turn and win the pot.

He starts crying about his bad beat...I believe his actual quote was " You have got to be F0ing me, you dont have a clue"

And my reply was" actually, I do have a clue, I have noted your play and you have been playing garbage all day and I thought you were playing garbage again"

So the moral of the story is that normally, against a solid player, I would not have made that play, but since I saw him overplaying his weak hands on several occasions, I put him to the test.

HE PUT HIMSELF IN POSITION TO GET SUCKED OUT ON!!!!! By playing marginal hands for big bets.

Gotta agree with your there Franky. Even if I wouldn't have called there. If he had played better poker he would not have likely gotten that beat from you.

Loose aggresive play can come back and bite you in the rear if you are not careful.

yeah, I realize people may or may not agree with my play but that is not really what I was getting at.....its that I made that play that I normally would not make because of my perception of his style and play...Alot of people want to play everyone elses bad play as the reason for suckouts, but often times it is there play that causes it.

Yeah,

I have been there too. I get mad about someone taking me out in a hand. Then later I anaylise the hand and see where I made errors.

Stil most of the time the other person has made more errors than me and got lucky.

But, none the less. I made errors. So, I can't fault the person for 100% of the loss.
