Truer words were never spoken! That's what, for me at least, makes it so hard to break a losing streak. It's not as fun when you aren't winning and when you aren't having fun you aren't playing as confidently. I've started just taking a break, a few hours or a day or two, if I fail to place in the money a couple tourneys in a row. I've found for me that helps tremendously. I'm not still stinging over the loss and I'm better able to play my game.

Default "Next Step"

New member here. Great site. Looking for advice on MTT play and taking the next step. Only played in 3 so far but have progressed to the point where I finished 33rd out of 350. My background in my two years of playing are neighborhood home tourny's where my conservative play has payed off. On-line I've had good success in cash games but can't make the jump in the tourny's. I tend to be real tight at the start only playing premium hands which gets me a nice stack initially but ultimately the blinds catch up to me and I have to push all-in. The 33rd place tourny, I ultimately had to push all-in with AJs and ended up against a dominator, AK. What are some tips for adjusting my play as the tourny progresses? I think I probably need to see a few more flops (30% seems to be the prevailing theory) and I suspect I need to make some adjustments during those mid-levels after I've accumulated some chips. Any thoughts
