Got this from a post on the card Player forum. The subject says what I need to know. If you have read Malmuth or Sklansky can you confirm this was written by one of them? If so this would indicate that they recommend playing a level with 200 big bets rather than the standard 300 or 350.

I think it depends on the type of game you play and your variance. If you are playing alot of short handed games your variance will tend to rise so a bigger bankroll is in order. If you are a rock in a ten handed game you will tend to have smaller swings from day to day. So naturally a small bankroll is needed. (200 bets)

I would stick with 300 or above, especially if you plan on being a pro. There's no harm in having a very, very large bankroll for your limit.
