Default Thank you Doyle!

I want to share my pleasure with some good poker players about Super/System II. Personally, I'm new to poker (6 months of play) and this book helped me a lot. Now, I can win an average of 10$/h by playing with some of this tips. For sure, you have to adapt to the table in low stakes like 10c/25c because at these tables, people will call an all-in more often without the nut.

Do you think guy that I must read the original super/system to sharpen my skill or the second book is enough?

If you are playing no limit holdem, then it's almost exactly the same. It is just a ******* of what he wrote in super system.

So for NL holdem SuperSystem II or even I are a good help ? I was under the impression that both SuperSystem editions weren't very good for NL games.

The No-Limit chapter is the only chapter written by Doyle himself. It is an ultra aggressive style. I guess it depends on what style you like to play.

Personally I find it brilliant. I always reread it before going to play major events.

Hmm interesting, I will definatley have to give it a read.

Have you heard anything or perhaps even read "Harrington on HoldEm" by Dan Harrington ? I've been told that it is the best NL tournament poker book out right now. Seeing as how thats all I really play (NL tournament) I'm seeking a good book for advice that focuses on NL Tournament and that's all.

Cheers

hey thank you bonkey for your help, I will not buy the first one if the no-limit chapter is roughly the same. I will read some other book, possibly the book of slansky about advanced tournament play.

I haven't read it. I will say that Doyle's book is more for cash games. I have read TJ Cloutier's book "Championship No-Limit & Pot-Limit Holde'em" it is a very conservative, outlast type of style. TJ is supposed to have more tournament cashes than anyone.

I want to check out the Harrington book, I just haven't yet.
