OK here is my take on Ace rag now that you all have given your imput which by the way was great.
All the following information will be aimed at tournament play and NL holdem
Ace rag suited or not should never be played in the first three seats in a tournament IF it is a full ring of people.
Shorthanded I would call or raise from the first 2 seats.
A2-A5 is a better hand than A6-A10 for the simple reason of the wheel straight that being said the odds are against you flopping the straight so stay away.
Early in a tournament toss those ace rags away they will only get you into trouble. Late and I mean LATE in a tournament maybe 25 or less people when the tables start to shorten up alot you can come into a pot for a RAISE these are not calling hands late in a tournament all you are trying to do is steal at this point so that being said you might as well raise with 63 off suit because you will have to do the same thing either way if you get played back at which is FOLD.
just remember when it comes to Ace rag all you truly have is Ace high nothing more and IF you hit your ace 7 out of 10 times its no good due to kicker trouble.
I hope this helps...
Now feel free to ask anything you like.

Yeah I agree with dome of the things you say. However I wont play ace rag when 25 people or less except if I'm big blind or small blind and there is no raise. I tend to raise big at ace rag when there are 3 or less ppl. Also I think that A 10 is better hand than A2 - A5
