Default When you know you are being read ......

When you know you are being read by someone how do you misguide them within a game without going broke?I was getting good cards and bad flops when I raised on a few I was called. When I didnt raise I was raised. Was just frustrating.Slow played once early for a nice ammount but after that it was ice cold on flops.I was down to 800 (short stack)and had AK Think I should have gone all in but I didnt and was raised when my flop missed .Folded as 2 went in heavy against each other,They both had me beat so was a good fold. From there I just wasted away on miserable cards.
My problem is alot of times I wil lfold to a good raise and not see 4th and after a few hands of doing this I know people are seeing a raise will get me out.Id been good about it recently I thought ,but have noticed the last few days it is a glaring problem that hasnt been remedied.
Mixing up my play is what I had been doing by getting more aggressive at times.Today I was just so passive it ended up tilting me so now its time to work around the house. In one of the earlier THF tourneys matro made me realize what I was doing because he raised me on any call and folded me hand after hand .When I did reraise he caught the river to knock me out.Still owe him one! lolFrom then on Id been better with few games of passiveness in between.
A little scatterbrained but I think you know what I mean.

Always trying to improve

xtra i definately know what yur saying...i can remember 1 freeroll on THF that i was getting read over and over again by the same guy whose name eludes me right now and no matter what my cards were or how our stacks compared he'd call and be right..i eventualy caught a nice few hands and changed up my play a little bit and got into a nice little grove that i placed top 15 which wasnt good enough but still good considering all that i had endured early

If you're going to put money in there before the flop, you've got to be ready to defend it sometimes, even if you don't hit the flop. Position is a major factor here.

BINGO....you have got to play back, even if you have nothing.....you may lose the pot but everyone knows that if they raise you that you are going to call them down......just like the bully in the schoolyard...if you dont stand up to him they are going to keep bitch-slapping you until you do...if you kick that bully in the nuts then he tends to find someone weaker to pick on. amhir vahedi put it best with this played out line....." if you want to live, you must be willing to die".........of course if you are in a ring game you can always switch tables too

Xtra, if you have not read SuperSystem, read it now....I think the opening chapter of the no limit section will put this in perspective.

now that doesnt mean play back at every raise obviously but if you think that someone is bullying you specifically you have got to play back or get out of the game..
