There are some quality posters on this site - find some of the ones you rate and search the archives for their posts. StarlightCoast has made a couple of excellent posts recently and he would be one candidate. Some of the discussions in hand histories might also be worth looking at.

Also remember the more effort you spend in making a post the more effort other posters will spend on it and the better advice you will get. I have got some excellent situation advice from fellow forum members but only because of the time I put in the original posts to get it.

The problem with books is two fold - 1)they tell you how they play you have to find a style or styles of your own. With a forum you can get advice from a greater range of people with a greater range of styles. 2) Some of the ultra agressive styles pros use are ill-suited to the low limit no visual tell world of low limit internet poker.

David Skyaski (sp) Tournament poker for the advanced player is excellent but assumes lots of knowedge/ skill.

Doyle Brunson's super/system 2 has loads of excellent stuff in it BUT the No limit Texas holdem section is not as good as it might be as it mainly applies to high level live games but still has lots of stuff to help you improve your game.

Phil Helmuth - no way near as bad as some people say but Fonz's suggestion book wise is probably best if it is only holdem you want to play.

yeah i try to post good stuff, but most of the guys here wouldn't benefit from my help..... i suppose the problem with books is that you don't get a 'feel' for the game - i believe it has quite a lot to do with your instinct and that is only achieved in the moment, when ure crapping yourself under an all in bet...
