Ok so im Playing in a Multi at Absolute and im sitting there for 1hr and everytime i get my cards i get 8-2, 8-3,9-2,7,2,5-6(offsuit) and everyone at the table is being really aggressive pre-flop, so theres me sitting there cant make a move, anyone been there? Bad Luck Streak I guess, well lets hope it picks up and i can smoke em at the end.

Just keep on sitting tight...that is no reason to start getting reckless...cards will even out...the longer the dry spell usually results in a longer streak...when, you do get good pockets and hit...you can make up with a good score and get paid for your sitting out.

1 good hand an hour is all that it takes.

coupled with the fact that the opponents are betting aggressively...when you do score it should be a good score.

CRAPSHOOT is right. Patience is one of the most important virtues a poker player can have. In my opinion there's no more frustrating way to lose a tourney (or a lot of money at a cash game) than to sit there and constantly get fed absolute garbage. Throw 'em away and wait for your spot. You can still make progress in such a situation. You can sit and observe other players, learn their weaknesses, fold, pick up on their tells, fold again, convince them that you are a rock by folding some more and when you make a play they'll respect the hell out of your down cards.

Remember, crap hands are great in one way -- they don't lose you any money (save for the blinds).

When this happens to me - I just sit back and say "Be Patient" Remember a couple of weeks ago Doyle Brunson won the tournament (WPT, I think) He hardly played any cards until it got to 3 people. He said at the end he just had to be patient until the cards came - that is his theory for the game.

Well Zaphor, your not going to beat a douche bag that gets lucky and you cannot judge future play tatics based on that event.

The problem is if, and when the cards do come, and someone gets a lucky draw on the flop, what can you do :/
