I would like to be isolated here against one opponent...if I knew my opponents better I might raise to 900 and try and reduce it by at least one....but since we are already down to two and I don't know my opponents I'll just call and see the flop.

i' probably call too unless the players still to play are loose/aggressive, coz they might call and get lucky on the community. Probably call, tho.

My question to you Zaphor is...If you did raise to 900 and got a fold and a all-in re-raise...what would you do?

Thats tough, would mostly depend on what music im listening to.

Say im Listening to Enya or something i might consider folding

But if im listening to BloodHoundGang Id call

nah I think i would call I would prob put him on a AQ or suited connectors Depening on the way he's played so far. Going all-in with 10/10 is a pretty good hand against one player.

I would put him on a A high X also or even a smaller pp since his initial bet was only 300...and would probably also call since I am close to 50% bank committed...but we would both probably be on the rail when we found that he was slow playing AA or KK or his Ax hit....however if it were an important tourney, like say the WSOP...I might take the 50% hit and fold!

I think this is a raise or fold situation. Fold? you say???? well that rationale is based on the fact that it must be the first hand of a tournamant if everyone has 2k. If you call and no one else raises you are going to be in a multi way pot with several other individuals....So basically you are hoping to hit a set or better ( 7.5 to 1 ) any Ace, King, Queen or jack falls and you hand loses value REAL quickly. The chance of one of those cards falling is very good, I think about 80%( dont know how to calculate that mentally, does anyone else know how to?)..and that does not even take into account the possibility of a re-raise behind you which make a call that much worse of a play..so clearly if you want to play this hand it must be against one opponent so calling is a bad move in my opinion....bottom line is that T's are fairly strong but not a hand I would want to go all in with on the first hand.

Ok say he has two over hards, say Ace Queen or Jack Queen are you saying he has a 80% chance of hitting one? Thats rubbish!

His odds of hitting a Jack or a queen which would beat me is la little less than 30%.

no, I didnt say that. I said that a chance of ANY JQK or A falling on the flop is about 80%...we both know that QJ vs TT is about even money with about a 2% edge to the Tens. I was trying to point out that if you are holding tens and any of those cards falls, you are now not so sure if you hand is good with 4-5 callers of a large bet....I mean, some of them must have had face cards. But I also said that I was unsure of the math. I came up with 80% based on something I read saying that if you do not hold an ace, you will see one on the flop about 20% of the time...based on that I just multiplied it by 4 to get a rough estimate. If you know how to figure that out then I am all ears.

so, do you think calling is the best play here?
