Purposely putting people on tilt Ok, I have seen some threads here about yourself being on tilt and how to prevent it. I have even posted up some things you can say online to put people on tilt.
After recently watching an episode of a wpt event, I thought for those who didnt notice or didnt think of this, I would say something about it.
First of all putting people on tilt can be a very useful tool, but can also be the death of you especially in a tournament, not to mention your wife might kill you if you come home from the casino with nothing left.
When purposely putting people on tilt, you must realize they are more apt to call than to fold, so they have a chance to take you out. You will have to play more tight preflop/agressive and post flop so you are not burned by a draw out or junk preflop cards. And don't trash talk unless you want the other person to call. Don't try this with a marginal hand either.
Also even if you think you bet enough to push out a draw, alway assuse the other person hit their draw. Someone on tilt I have noticed will not bet into you, they will let you keep coming to them. So you can probably safely assume if they put you all in or they go all in after a card comes which looks like it might have helped a draw hand, that they have hit their draw.
Also, trash talking is not the only thing that can put your opponents on tilt. If you tend to chase cheap (or expesive draws for that matter), this will also put your opponents on tilt. If its a cheap suck out then let them know you want me to fold bet higher. This statement always, helps me out on the tables. Whether it be live or online. Because oddly enough, they will bet bigger the next few times they have to protect their hands. As well as the other peope at the table. Of course for the better players they already know this.
So , now i recap, dont put people on tilt, unless you want the call. Dont try to verbally attack or state you can't be beaten if you want the call.
