I think a lot of players would be amazed at the odds they are beating when they continue to hit miracle flops to beat huge hands. I'm sure there are many tournament players who think it is normal to flop a set ten times an hour or to hit multiple gut shot straight draws all through a tournament , or to catch runner-runner flushes numerous times in one setting. Just goes to show you the huge difference between ring games and tournament play: anything can and does happen in tournaments!

Nice, there's some interesting stats in there. Of course poker is not all about the stats, but those help you to make the correct decisions.

also wanted to thank you for posting that Matro57. I'm surprised that if you hold suited cards a flush will only flop 118 - 1. I will certainly remember that one. I am so done going for the flush and not hitting it, it cost me all last week in the freerolls.

All i know is I was watching some poker show on TV and some celebrity flopped a royal flush. Then they stated that the odds of that happening is 19600 to 1. It was crazy because crazy Phil Laak was the dealer for the game and he just went bananas after the cards were tossed over. He said he had been playing cards for years and only seen 4 in his lifetime and never had seen anybody flop one.
