 Pot Limit Betting
I don't have much experience in pot limit holdem to begin with. I am either a no limit or limit holdem player (no limit tourneys and limit ring tables). Well, tonight (Thursday evening) was the first chance I got to play in one of the THF Pot Limit heats (Heat 4 Tourney 2). So far, I am doing alright (still in after 1 hour 30 minutes and in 16th out of 55 remaining). My problem is betting. I know pot limit is of course different, but very similar to no limit. When I have a hand worth betting or raising, I seem to want to bet the pot. In the same situation in no limit, I would probably bet far less. I don't know why I have this tendency (if that is spelled correctly), but it seems like many others are doing the same as me.
I was wondering who else does this same thing and if someone has some suggestions, maybe a guide type thing, for the betting of pot limit. I know that Unisin (I believe it was him, and if I am incorrect I apologize) put out a guide for pot limit and I did read this, but I need more help. Thanks everyone and good luck. |
