Genuine Training Sites and the "Wolves in Sheeps Clothing"

Many of us want to improve our game we look for ways to do this. One of the ways I have been looking into for some time now are the Internet Training Sites and the Internet e-book Trainers. Most are genuinely offering their services with trained and professional coaches and mentors. But there are some wolves-in-sheep-clothing who offer you enticements like the following: "DOMINATE YOUR OPPONENTS" etc etc. Next thing, they offer to let you downlaod their e-book for FREE, just provide them with your e-mail and verify your account and that all there is to it. And what do you think you will get? Pages and Pages and Pages of Banner Affiliate Advertising with a few paragraphs of advice and strategies that even your grandmother knew before there was internet poker. Well, it's free, isn't it? Yes it is- but it is not what I asked for!

I've heard some very good things about some of the most well known sites, like cardrunners, stoxpoker, pokerxfactor etc Not tried any but watched a few videos here and there.They look pretty good to me.
These sites are fairly expensive but possibly worth the investment if you like learning from videos and such rather than books.

But yeh, you have to be very careful with some of the less expensive - get-rich-quick scams. Sorry to hear you got one of those.

Yea im running a promotion right now...i need to get a certain number of points and i get a free stox poker membership...I've watched videos from both cardrunners and stox poker and its very good quality for money IMO.

After spending too much on things like PT2&3 etc... As a recreational player that put in a lil more volume than the avg rec player. I have seriously been studying the various sites. Videos are OK but not quite the total package. So for now I have been lurking various sites to see which one can fill my needs. Private sessions are a lil too much in most cases. I good mix of both would be great.
