Default SitnGo Strategies?

I have several sitngo strategies. I have few sitngo strategies that consistantly work. One of my most pofitable strats is somewhat common sense. I play very loose while the blinds are small, like the first 1 or 2 rounds of blinds. Durring which, i usually catch a hand, and take the lead. After i win my hand i usually play EXTREMELY tight. I only play face cards or pairs, until some of the people (usually half) are knocked out. Then, i play normal and smart. One of my biggest problems, is not catching a hand early on. If i dont take the lead in the first couple blind rounds, i usually lose after going all in preflop.

Any comments? Does anyone use a similar strat?

I do use the same basic strategy, even though i have only played in 2 real money tourneys. both times, unfortunately i did not make the money, but i used to only play fake money sit and goes and i would consistenly win. on PokerStars, it is fun now to go to the 300 9 man tourneys and just go all in every hand. ive done that a few times and i have won a few of those tourneys. the thing that is funny about that is the other players reactions. i know i am being a jerk but come on, its the lowest level of PLAY MONEY. my opponents get really mad when i knock them out though. One sit an go a few days ago, i was dealt 7 2 off suited on the first hand of the tourney and went all in with it. i was called by 5 other people and i somehow beat them all. i couldnt stop laughing because every single one of the players that lost was sooo mad at me.

I usually play the oposite of you. I play very tight at first, then when people who are agressive get out and blinds increase i play loose to steal blinds. It works sometimes, but i guess thats a good idea.

disagree totally with you on playing loose in the beginning...your chips are much too valuable then and it is too easy to get behind. Wich causes you to struggle to come back.

But then you run the risk of being too predictable, which a good player will pick up on and capitalize on the information. It is sometimes good to play loose, especially when you had been previously been playing tight. It's always good to switch around playing styles. (Just don't switch while in the middle of a hand.)
