Default Kicker Rules

anyone got info site to kickers? Such as my AQ being split POT with A3?
AND YEAH WHEN I GOT THE BAD KICKER IT'S NOT SPLIT THEN IS IT!
Poker Dealers get rule books anyone got a poker rule book.I have heard stories that top pros know the pot should be split but they take the whole pot cause the other guy doesn't know. But online you don't have to decide? I need some hard core info about kickers and rules so I don't get screwed while playing in casinos.

It is all about your best 5 card hand. I have had AK and someone else have A2 and we would split the pot, but I have also had A2 and someone else has AK and the other person gets the entire pot.

first check http://www.texasholdemforums.com/hand_rankings.php so that your familiar with what beats what

depends on whats on the board

to use olys example,

Say player one has

and player two has

if the final board is

then its a split pot - full houses sevens and aces

however if the board was

then player one would win with a pair of 5s and ace and king kickers

important thing to remember is that its the best 5 cards

heres another example

player one has
player two has

final board is

then player two would win as although both players make a flush, player two has the 7 of clubs which beats the other guy which used the 5 of clubs to make a flush

Just look at the best 5 cards you can have and do the same with his....Id assume there were 2 pair and you both had an ace kicker...or u had 2 pair aces and another on board with a K also.... or 3 of a kind on board with a k on board as well.
