Default Best way to build VPP?

I'm pretty sure this has been covered before but I will ask it again.

I'm trying to build my VPP points and my 1st goal is to get silverstar status. I've been playing on the $.10-.25NL tables and of course it's slow going. Not doing bad building my bankroll but the VPP points not so good. I started with $25 and built to $98 dollars in about 3 days.

Now with a bankroll of just under $100 what would be the best way to build my VPP points quicker without being scared or playing too tight at higher limits.

Multi table.

You may get more points for entering tournaments (I'm not sure) so mixing in a few there wouldn't hurt.

I would suggest working at raising ur bankroll first, before considering to the upping your VIP status. As you only get 1 point for each 1$ of rake, ur only going to get a point if the pot reaches at least $8. So, it is likely that playing ring games will generate these points very slowly, since ur limit still a bit low. Keep at it and up ur limits as your bankroll increases, and you'll see that achieving gold status and even platinum can become easy.

This is direct from PS website.

. Earn FPP credits for cash game play
First Frequent Player Point (FPP) is awarded for playing a hand in which the rake reaches:

$0.40 for fixed limit poker games with stakes $1/$2 and lower
$0.40 for NL/PL poker games with blinds $1/$2 and lower
$0.40 for "1-on-1" poker games (this applies only to "1-on-1" tables, not to regular tables which have only two players seated)
$1.00 for all other games
Second FPP is awarded for playing a hand in which the rake reaches:

$2.00 for all 6-max tables (this doesn't apply for games being played 6- handed at 10/9/8 player tables - just 6-max tables)
$3.00 for all other tables
Third FPP is awarded for playing a hand in which the rake reaches $5.00.

my apologies, you're right, i typed the wrong value but i believe that the pot being at least $8 before getting a point is still correct, as the rake is 5% i believe

That's right. $.40 / 5% = $8.00

Personally any time I've tried to up my FPP I've played 3-4 full (9 seat) tables of at least .25/.50 blinds. With a full table you don't have to post as many blinds but you still get the benifit of the raked pots. Also it's easier to multi-table since you're not required to act as often.

THF Player of the Year
You could try to play some Omaha H/L. With some players betting the low and other players betting the high I think you will see more raked hands where you get a VPP. Haven't checked this though.

If you want to try HoldEm the 1/2 limit tables is the fastest way to get VPP's. At the .5/1 limit tables you won't see as many VPP raked hands. There are 8 big bets needed there as opposed to the 5 big bets on the 1/2 limit tables.

If you don't like limit you should stay at the $.10-.25NL tables. You are doing a great job there. Never change a winning team!

I play 1/2 and I get a nice amount of points per month playing those. Ive come really close to silverstar status 3 times and was 10 points short when my Internet connecton dropped out on the last day of the month.

I think GOld is easily acheiveable playing 1/2 if they have time to do it. I barely get to play and I have no problem getting a good amount of points.

I've been watching the 1/2 limit tables some and thinking about moving there but not sure where my bankroll needs to be to do that. I'm still playing the .10/.25 NL tables. About 3 to 6 tables at a time and got my BR up to $159 which is cool but VPP points are at 160.

1/2 limit on $160 is a good way to loose your bankroll quickly. You want about a $600 for those limits.
