I think I MIGHT know what you're talking about. Basically, this is something you do when deciding whether or not to call a short-stack all in:
What's the ratio of your stack to the short stack (i.e., 10k:1k or 10:1)
What's your estimated odds of winning the hand (i.e., 30%)
If both of you were to go all in with these holdings constantly, until someone busted, who would go first? So, in the example I made up above (completely on the spot)...
Lost the first hand (70% chance): down to 9k, villain has 2k
Lose the 2nd hand (70% chance): down to 7k, villain has 4k
Lose the 3rd hand (70% chance): down to 3k, villain has 8k
Lose the 4th hand (70% chance): you bust
So you would need to lose 4 hands in a row for this to be unprofitable by stack odds. Meanwhile, your hand odds say that will happen 24.01% of the time, or 4.165:1 against. You need odds of 10.0001:1 or worse in order to justify a fold.

Implied means might be! Is it not what we use to calculate the odds of it hitting the same then? My eyes yes. So why worry, if you got one way to calculate your odds on your outs. There is no need to confuse yourself by renameing it.
Use the K.I.S.S. strategy:
K= keep
I= it
S= simply
S= straight forward |
I think I know the KISS strategy as something different
