| | | | Table Talk What things have you said that manipulated someone into doing what you want (i.e. call/fold/bet)?
Also, are there any questions that work for you to gain information (i.e. how many chips do you have left)?
Assume you're playing against people at a home game who don't wouldn't be able to pick up on a reverse tell.

| | | | One thing that I have found that helps me when I am playing with my friends is to raise just a little to see if they reraise, and depending on the amount if they do raise is a general indication as to what they have. Also a persons eyes is usually a tell tell sign, well from my experience anyway. | |

| | | | I usually dont say anything when I'm playing online or at home. Even when they ask something like "should I call?" I'll just shoot a smile and tell them to make the choice. | |

| | | | Many times when I have asked my friend how many chips he has left he will reply "it doesn't matter". This usually has meant that he's holding a big hand, but sometimes it's the opposite - it depends on the player usually.
One of the most unknown tells though is your pulse. It's virtually impossible to control, and it will increase a lot when they are tense (when they're bluffing or nervous you're going to win). YOu can check out their pulse beating on their right and left sides of their neck. Also notice the amount of chips they play with, when you're out of a hand study a particular player and look at how many chips they're playing with. Then see if they win the hand. This is usually an indication as to whether or not they have a hand. Of course, betting patterns plays into tells as well. Most of the time, your best decision will be made within the first 2 seconds you think. Don't second guess.

| | | | im a girl, so this one usually works pretty well; either when someone has checked to me and I have the nuts, when they bet big and I have an ok hand, or when they bet big and I have the nuts, I look at the cieling and go hmmmm... I have become so notorious for that, whenever someone who knows me sees me do that, they go, "uh-oh!" | |

| | | | I have found that most table talk on-line is usually the only people that talk are the bad players. I find that table talk on-line is a waste of time. I just continue to analyze my opponents bets and tendacies. On the other hand, I find table talk live as very important to getting your opponent to show tells that will assist in the current hand or future hands. | |

| | | | Well I haven't really seen any table talk on online poker...At the casino tho when someone is losing they seem to table talk more then the rest...and when someone is winning they just keeping raking in the chips in silence...I like to table talk but only if I'm ahead $$$ if not...I like to be quiet... | |

| | | | I never try to act strong or intimidating at a table, whether it be online, with friends, or in a casino.
If I have a full house or flop a straight with K or A high, I will say it right out; and then check. Everyone is always thinking reverse psychology, forget it, I'm honest, but no one ever believes me. They bet thinking I'm lying, but then it's just reeling them in.
Also, I try to keep a conversation going, makes people think I have no idea what I'm doing and that I'm not paying attention. Again, it seems to work for me.

| | | | I always act weak, so people think my hand is bigger than it really is. I am small and shake a lot when I play poker, and I use that tight image to my advantage. Can't tell you how many times I have pushed all in with nothing and people folded based on my image. | |

| | | | what I try to do If I can afford it is if I think someone might be bluffing and their bet is not too big I will rasie on top of him even if I have nothing, if he folds he folds, if he calls and then checks to me the next round, chances are he was bluffing. be caurefull though, this can open up a check raise situation if the person actually had nuts. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
