Default Right Play?

Ok I have played in about 15 large (350+ player) MTT's ($15-$25 buy ins). My best finish is 7th ($350), but I am consistently in the top 20% and freqently making the cut for some crappy $. Last night I was in 20th out of 32 people left with a 27K and got JJ one off the BB (BB=$6K). Chip leader is at about 160K at this point. I raise to 16K (should have gone all in or limped), 4 folds then a reraise to 32K, followed by a call, and I decide that even though I am likely beaten this is where I will make my stand, and call all in.

Flop: 8810

Raiser fires out 30K putting the other caller all in

turn em over
Raiser: Ac8c
Caller: QQ
Me: JJ
turn is a 9 giveing me 6 outs.
River is A - full boat for the very loose raiser.

OK - so I know that I made at least 2 mistakes, but I called the raise because I figured that if I laid it down - with 11K in chips I wouldn;t finish much higher (and the money doesn;t get good for a while yet), and if I tripled through I would be in a good spot.

I post this for two reasons - critique my play. I just hate JJ. And how do the successful MTT players make it to the top? At one point I had 27K and that put me in fourth - with about 90 people left - didn't get much after that - folded an AJs after a large raise...

Oh I got $43 for finishing 31st ($15 buy-in). Moving up a spot (21st through 30th) would have netted about $8 more.

i use to love JJ. they were my "lucky hand" then they F$%K me over and ever scnece ive hated them. so when i get them i dont play argresive at all and most of the time if theres even one higher card on flop i asume that its matched by someone so i just fold to any high bets. but yeah i had a play that was i had JJ went all in short stacked to be called by qq kk and aa now what the hell is that! never trust them jacks theyll scerw you in a heart beat!

I usually don't play as aggresive as I used to with pocket pairs unless they are K's or A's. Even Q's sometimes aren't as good as they look. Most of the time with pockets, you don't get your three of a kind and lose to a two pair, straight, flush, or just a higher pair then your pocket pair.

It doesn't make any difference how you played that hand...you were destined to lose it from the get go...maybe the only thing that would have saved you is if you limped in and was smart enough to get out with a decent raise on the flop. The problem there is you probably would not have gone in with a limp QQ would have raised and you would have called.
But you are wrong on your outs at the turn...you had 10 outs

After the flop, with a reraise in front of you, I probably would have folded. You would have to give him credit for the third 8 or a pair of tens. I know it is difficult to give up big pairs, but sometimes you have to. I have folded kings and aces before. It's difficult, but disciplined
