I believe the key is understanding that you are going to get beat. It comes with experience, but you will always have a time when a beat bothers you to a tilt. I have always told myself if I suffer a beat that bothers me I will only play the top ten hands for the next two hands. I try to regather my thoughts and analyze my mistake, move on and win the next one. The key to success is to learn from your mistakes and continue to play your style and know that beats will come and they will go.

I often feel like I am about to go on tilt after an opponent beats me, though he played terribly. However, I just remind myself that in poker, all you can do is make good decisions, and the cards come as they do. I remind myself that I will make a profit in the long run when my opponents play poorly.

TILT kills me all the time. This sounds funny and like sometihng you all know "Go to a happy place" But for serious TILT, walk away and have a coke or whatever. you have to get your heart rate down a few notches witch is what tilt is: Your mind racing.

Every poker player has a bad run, but don't make that bad run make you stop playing poker for good. Take a day or two off, then go back to the tables and see if you can start fresh with a good run.

When i go on tilt, and this happens alot after bad beats, i do what i could see phil hellmuth himself doing. Kicking stuff around... cussing at the screen, telling other people i just got messed over... and then i tell myself... "you are the best player here" at least thats what phil hellmuth would do. i mean, i study alot and try to apply what i learn, so i figure i can't be that bad, so thats what do. after having a drink of water an laying down for a minute, i get back to my comp and start playing some more... alot more calm

How I don't play on tilt. I realize that poker is a never ending game. I don't let one hand bother me. Realize that if you get riverd by a crappy player chasing. I get pleasure because I know this guy doesn't play correct poker. He is gonna pay me off later. Swallow repeat and play the same every hand. The last hand has no effect on the present hand.
