All I can say really is don't think of it as going back to where you were.. think of it as a way of stepping forward and a way of progressing.
You already know about where you were. You don't return to that you move on and hopefully find yourself better equipped.
One thing that I struggled badly with not long ago is adjusting my poker for the games I was playing. (who am I kidding- I still struggle)
When I began to learn a thing or two. I added those things to my game. Unfortunately when I hit a bad patch on stars and was forced to move down in levels, I continued to play the same kind of poker.
I thought I should easily beat the small sngs and micro cash games with what I had. It hasn't been easy at all but I'm feeling my way through and building up slowly again.
I don't know what type of tables you are playing at or what type of bankroll you have right now but I know it can be difficult adjusting to players who are likely to do anything at anytime.
A $5 mtt: a THF league game, a 2/5c NL table, a $3 turbo, a $10 sng, a $1-2 table sng, a $3 rebuy, a freeroll. We're all over the place - and each game and each table requires different approaches.
If I knew exactly what they were each time - I wouldn't lose any!
You think you're aggressive? It's an asset but we both know that we will find
overly aggressive players who will play back at you at those low levels and they won't even know why they are doing it.
If you do think you're too aggressive at the games youre playing then maybe you already have you're answer. Play solid and use your aggression when it matters most.
This games easy on paper isnt it
I like and agree with what Rw and Ben said. ( and I like the way Rw spells advice
