I am getting incrediblely frustrated at getting drawn out and beaten (consistenty) while being in there with the best hand. If this much luck is involved in winning tournaments, it almost seems like it's not worth the trouble. Every time I'm in a race holding AK against A-anything, they are ALWAYS catching the miracle card on the river! In three separate tournaments yesterday, I lost with AK to A9off, AK to AQ and AK to AJ. I'm pulling my hair out wasting my card reading abilities on idiots that I read perfectly and then beat my premium hands with garbage. AK just stands out, but EVERY time I am busted out of a tourney, I have the better hand (usually significantly better) . I'd like to hear from a few consistant winners of big payout tournaments what they did to withstand this onslaught of bad beats in tournament play.
