I don't really understand how smack talk can have any effect at all. At live tables sure. But at online games you always have the mute feature (or block chat). If someone starts too mouth off I just mute them...If only there were a mute feature in real life.

Exactly. another inexperianced player. I don't do it to be and ass, i do it to test out the other players. I may not just tick the guy i am saying it to, but other players as well. Try this and see what happens on yur table, but give you warning, make sure you start playing better cards and not chase as much if you do.

Well its nice to see that not all the trash talkers resort to cursing. I play to often on pokerstars and see racial slurs and mispelled curse words. It ruins the game in my opinion when it gets to berating other players.

I've been playing games on the internet too long to be fazed by any online trash talking. Even then, I'm usually not looking at the little chat box most of the time, so I probably miss a good deal of the banter anyway. Now, real life poker is a whole different ball game, but I won't get into that.

Those trash talk quotes are pretty funny, and very interesting. However, it has been advised by many poker experts to not get on the bad side of many players. This will cause your opponent to put on his hit list and intentionally try hard to beat u - this might be either bad or good for you, yet it's always necessary to make fun of someone who beats you calling a raise with 27o

Talking smack is fun and encourages social behavior. Let's face it people a majority of our online opponents are not exactly Socialites. They are generally lonely fools looking for a lost dream through the convenience of hiding behind electrical impulses translated through this absurd life draining box currently positioned in front of us all.

Here is one of the things that I like to do while in tournaments. I will be friendly with the other players and pick out a few individuals who are talking back. As soon as I get a good hand and they have money in the pot I will say something like, "Dude my girl friend is freaking out I gotta get offline here is a gift guys - ALL IN - have fun hope to see you all later" Generally I almost always get several callers. Turn over the NUTS and then laugh at them all.

PEACE 420

talkin smack while playing is all fair game.... u must understand that players do this just to get the other poeple off there game.... being angry may make u do something stupid like go all in just to bluff someone and u have no hand.... while someone is waitin on u to do it with aces or kings or something
