Bankroll Management Chris Ferguson

For SnG's I've played a few super micro 10 seat SnG's, only 10c. 1500 starting stack and 10min blinds. These are on Prima skin poker rooms. So far I've played 4 and won 2 and 2nd in another. Last night it took one and half hours for me to take down the valuable prize money of 45c.

I've also deposited my first $10 in Poker Stars to see if I can grow it into something (more than $10). Had a crack at a 2c NL ring table. Bought in for $1 took down a cool 95c in profit. Ferguson better watch out.... I'm coming for your MAN.

To keep me disciplined, I'm clearing out my Neteller account and putting the cash into a seperate high interest bank account just for my remaining bankroll. Just making it a bit harder to access will hopefully provide an on going incentive.

I feel the same way 7. I've already adjusted my play and have seen progress. It's hard to tilt when you only lose a couple of bucks and a small percentage of your BR when you know you'll get it right back plus some. I've doubled my BR since I read this post and stepped down in limits.

Of course the $100 live tourney that I've commited to next week might change things a little.

You know, I'd read similar stuff before but I'm stupid and undisciplined at times.
This time I think it's sunk in and like you I already feel more in control. It's coincided also with something of a revelation. I feel I know what was going wrong over recent months and I'm already on an upturn. I'm a happier player.

Unfortunately there's the Sunday League games and they can spoil my bankroll plans. I'll play those but I'll set aside the rest of my poker money at stars and other sites and intend to use it more wisely.

Beer and tiredness has sometimes been my downfall.

At the moment, I'm playing less games and I'm enjoying and concentrating well on the ones I do play. Infact, I'm wanting to play less simply because I am concentrating better when I do play.

Yeah, I have suffered from a lot of bad beats/bad etc in recent times, I know that is true - but that can happen to all of us anytime.
I'm now sure though, that I went through a period where I felt I could win without trying too hard. Idiot. Took me a long time to realise that I can't do that and be succesful.

There's sometimes more going on than first meets the eye.

The problem is, at the low levels, people play and chase with so much garbage. I got busted 3 times. Of course, I wasn't managing to the strict rules that Chris has. I just ran out of patience!
