Angry Was I cheated?

This is an absolutely true story. About 4-5 months ago I went with a friend of mine to a home game, two table tourney $25 buy in for chips. I didn't know anyone there except for the person I showed up with. I played a solid game and made it to the final table when I sense something fishy happened. With about 6 players left we took a smoke break. Myself, my friend (again only person I knew prior to the game) and the kid sitting on my left went outside to smoke, everyone else stayed inside including the person dealing the next hand. When i came inside i didn't really pay attention to the dealer cutting the deck or anything because i had no reason to be suspicous. I get dealt KK and trippled the BB ( i had a large stack, maybe second or first in chip position) as i had been making this move often with almost any two cards. I got one caller, the dealer. Heads up we see the flop KKA. I check trying to do anything i can to get paid, and as i expected the dealer raises, I smooth call. Turn is a blank 5 of clubs or something like that. I check again, he raises large and push all-in. This kid called me soooo fast, I jump up 'I GOT 4 KINGS', this kid doesn't blink for a second and is like OK i got aces, i think sweet no way he catches an ace... sure enough his fourth ace falls on the river, and he rakes in the pot like he knew it was coming.

I know i make it sound a bit like i've been set up but i guess it's natural. Just seems like too many coincidences.

Wow that sucks dude. Sounds like something from "Tilt" on ESPN. Of course it is possible to lose that way, it's kind of suspicious that you guys got dealt those hands right after your break, but I see nothing wrong with the way he played it before and after the flop. I hope it was just a case of real bad luck rather than people conning you out of your money.

Though its possible for a hand to play out that way, it is very suspicous. I would have to say that most likely you were cheated.

It is very suspecious. But you never know and it just depends on the guys you were playing with. Without knowing them who knows, but like someone else said if they would cheat on a $25 buy in then they have more issues outside of poker. I would question your return to their game, although you played well, you may wait next time on the smoke break.
