What's the largest sum of money you've ever lost in a day? b/c i just lost $5 and I'm pissed. I can just imagine what it's like for the high rollers on here.
About 3 weeks ago II sat down @ a $1/2 cash table(ring game) on Pokerstars. I started off w/ $40 on my seat and rapidly built my stack to $200 making my stack even w/ the biggest stack @ the table. This table was full of fish w/ lots of chips. Then on the button I get this: all hands are folded to me. I raise $8. small blind folds, bb raises $120 more. I'm thinking its my lucky day, right? I call 'n' lets see a flop. Flop comes PayDay, right?
This guy then bets $20, and I raise all-in, of course, and he calls! When the cards are flipped it ends up like this:

I go on tilt after this and rebuy for my bankroll, I was thinking 1 lucky hand doesn't mean this guys not a fish but 1 more bad beat and it was all gone but $2. Between my $40 + $170 I made then lost then my last $200 $410 all together. Now I fight for dollars in freerolls grinding out or finding a backer @ some point. What can you do, its the life of a poker player. GL @ the tables.
I usually just stick to the NL Hold 'Em $5 Sit & Go's. However, one day I did end up losing 4 or 5 of these. So most I've probably ever lost was between the $20-$30 range in one day. I'm guessing there will probably be some people on here who've lost several $100's or $1,000's though, so I don't feel too bad.
I've lost maybe 40 bucks online in a given day then i usually shut it down. I lost 300 bucks playing at a live game once was never up and just got killed. Then of course I've lost 2 or 3 hundred several times playing BJ.I dont play BJ anymore lol.
About $300 online. I lost a $100, 2 $50's and a bunch of $20's. The 50's, 100 and the first 2 20's were both bad beats. After that I was on tilt and playing like an idiot.

lol- thats why I stopped playing BJ too. I'd go to my local card room, win the $25 no-limit tourny, (8-16 people for $120+), then go blow it all playing BJ or three card.
Sad to say i've lost too much from time to time. I've put myself into the hole for hundreds, but the worst was one day that i went on a run. Played 2/4 and 20+2 sitngo's for a few hours and took down bout 750. I was trying to recoup some losses the week before to even out the for the month when i got too big for my britches. Sat 15/30 pissed the entire roll away then went into the hole another 500 trying to get that back. You can do the math...

I lost 2,000 on line. I played stupid and went all in too quick. I had many bad luck hands. Many with a hi pair laying down and then tripling up like 3 times only to lose to consistent straights. it has been heart breaking
