Default Best hands to jam all in when low in NL tourn?

party poker NL freeroll, still a ways from bubble
my Girlfriend didnt like my going all-in 1st with 44 when i was really low on chips (about 2500, with BB at around 900 and about to go up another level)
she thinks 44 sucks, and any high suited connecters would be better
i know 22 beats AKo 53% of the time
how does it compare to AKs

also would jamming with KQs be better than low pairs??? or any medium suited connectors bet better for that matter?

help me win another argument

thanks

With 5 or less bb left in my stack, I push with any pocket pair, or any combination of suited paint (AKs down to about J10s). I prefer not to push with lower suited connectors, as I do have a few hands left to pick up a premium hand... the key is to either double up or be out before your stack becomes so small that pushing doesn't scare away any callers. Say you are down to 1.5bb... the calling requirements drop drastically, and you will get calls with almost any two cards. With 3bb in your stack, you are moving in on the next bb anyway, so does 4-4 beat a totally random hand? Sure it does. Get it all in and hope for a numbers flop.

When low I prefer to have pairs over KQ.Not sure on numbers but I feel better.Id rather get beat by someone hitting their pair than losing to an ace high.
I never worry about doubling up in a tourney, its a mental trap.Id rather blind out than go out on a hand Im embarrased to show.Run into alot of guys who get low and push any ace.Wrap those chips and sendem. In low buy ins I get lax and do the same so I really cant say too much.
But its late and Im opiniated(as usual)so I have an excuse .

I prefer the 44 also. You could be totally dominated by an better PP but you could have a coinflip also if you do get called. When a low stack goes allin you could get a caller from Ax if it's a bigstack calling and with KQs you are below a coinflip, and he might even have your suit dominated wit the ace.

Pocket pairs is always good when your low, if i'm in the middle stack with 44 i would fold under the gun.

2-2 is just a very slight favourite over AKs if one of the 2's is the same suit.
AKs is a very slight favourite if the 2's are different suits.

There's only fractions of percentages in it - both scenarios are basically coin flips.

4-4 is a little more of a favourite to AKs. 4-4 is 51.32%, so the calculator shows me (that's if one of the 4,s shares the same suit as the AKs)
4-4 is 50.98% is the suits are different - Coin flips again.

As for high suited connectors - If you were pushing with these then JTs is a slight favourite to any pocket pair below 8-8 (JTs is 53.28% Vs 2-2)
KQs falls behind because it hasnt as many straight possibilities.

Like the others said, I think it's better to get your chips in with a pair but wait for your best opportunity. You really want to get your chips in against one opponent, so a raise from mid to late position is often an advantage. If low, I might fold 4-4 from early position and then be happier to raise allin with say KQs from mid to late position.
