hmmmmm pushing with 85 o then a10 utg..ill take my chances with a10...chance that you are the only small stack is very small online so if your the dealer chances of you pushing 85o without atleast one person going in there first is verrry slim.....first in vigorish is the concept....so if one person goes in there while youre still waiting to act you should only look for hands like JJs-AAs, AK, maybe even AQs....if you're first in personally i would go with pairs 88s-AAs, AK-A10, A9-A8s,suited connectors no lower the 87s....i would say 98s bbuuut 87s is my fav hand.....you have to be rreeeally desperate to go any lower then that..44 is desperation i think you said blinds were at 900 you had 2500...M at 2.5 at that point( i wouldnt move if blinds go up in 5 mins+) any less then maybe...but i wouldnt let myself blindout(i personally hate that)..so i see your move as a decent move...wouldnt call it horrible...but if your'e bubbling then i would...bubbleplay wouldnt allow that if you want money...one

the value of pushing in late position with most hands is you win alot uncontested with less players left to act, and you can still when if called.
A10 utg there are still 7 or 8 players left to act, so there are more people to catch hands and when they do call you will find your against a bigger ace often.

Occasionally I'll go all in preflop with good position to punish a table with a high percentage of passive limpers. Or sometimes against blind stealing table bully when the conditions seem right.

Other considerations I'd think about are:

1) Have any previous hands been called by such a move, and by whom.
2) Is my table image strong enough to put other players off a gamble call.
3) Do I have enough chips to scare other hands off.
4) Does my hand have a chance in hell if it gets called.

Get away with it once and you sometimes have the opportunity to set up your KK/AA quite nicely when another player thinks you are just stealing yourself.
