I do sometimes fold KK to what others seem as tiny raises but if I suspect AA I fold. Even if I am wrong there is a sense in which they would already have an edge over me if i called. Fink would generally call in this situation and this is not to say it is a weakness in his game or mine. Its just a different way of playing the game.
this clearly no "edge" is the case with an allin call its all about aces. Personally I am in no rush to accumulate my chips in tourneys. I like good oppertunities and I do not fold situations where I seem to be good too often but I do think that KK IS foldable there. Even if noone has aa you will still find this hand losing a decent percentage of the time to any of the possible cards the opponents have.
in 1 hour of play (even though in rebuy stage) you should be able to get some judge of your opponents. The more aa was a possibility and the less hands like jj the more I would feel able to fold the hand. Much of the time after taking reads into account i would call here but sometimes I would fold. |
