community cards are 4 A A Q Q

im holding say like a 10 9

opponent is holding a 4 7

would this be a split pot or would my opponent win cuz he has "3 pairs"?

or would i win cuz i have a 10?

youd win with the hand 10 A A Q Q - in short your 10 kicker would beat his 7 kicker

hehe yea i knew i was right but they keep on insisting that i was wrong on lotta stuff, including this, so i just gave up. like i had to tell them that u can use 1 of the 2 cards that ur holding but they insisted that u HAVE to use both of em. i was like ok whatever dood, ur house ur rules lol. but they saw WPT tournements on TV and were "enlightened". so yea i just basically go along with whatever they say cuz i hate trying to tell em over and over again lol. wish me luck.

yea these are some things that happen when first playing, one piece of advice, dont learn by watching TV learn by playing, if you think youve learned plenty by watching TV, when you play for money with people who really know, theyll have your whole bankroll
