Default 2 sides of Pocket Kings

The following was my hand of the day by a long way even if I didn't get as much as some other pots I won. How to beat pocket kings !!!!

Powered by UltimateBet ($3/$6 Hold'em)

onwee posts the small blind of $1.
cndna posts the big blind of $3.

dr winston:

Pre-flop:

hamiltonking1 folds. hello kitty raises to $6.
LastCallAllIn folds. alan c folds. smokeeater
folds. dr winston calls. onwee folds. cndna
folds.

Flop (board: ):

hello kitty bets $3. dr winston calls.

Turn (board: ):

hello kitty checks. dr winston bets $6. hello kitty
calls.

River (board: ):

hello kitty bets $6. dr winston raises to $12.
hello kitty calls.

Showdown:

dr winston shows .
dr winston has : four jacks.
hello kitty mucks cards.
(hello kitty has .)

Hand #4143948-6522 Summary:

$2.50 is raked from a pot of $58.
dr winston wins $55.50 with four jacks.

The thing I was surprised about with this was my opponents passive play on the river. I would've probably played the hand the exact same way if I had the 10 and would never have thought he had KK. He was obivously very scared of the possibility of me having quads. I enjoyed playing against this scardy cat !!!!

The second hand is how to win with pocket Kings. Lucky I ran into another high pocket pair and he didn't hit. Got myself a lot from this one.

AA KK QQ JJ - in ring game or shorthanded game, put in big raise!!! Don't ever slow play them, unless you're down to heads-up, then only on the following condition: If your heads-up opponent has been folding to your raises, then don't raise pre-flop. If he/she has been making a stand to your raises, then you have to raise.

With KK QQ JJ - once you've raised big, then someone call, get ready to throw away your hand if there's an overcard on the flop and you miss your sets. KK beware of A on flop, QQ of A or K on flop, JJ of A or K or Q. When there's only one caller, there is still a possibility you're still holding the best hand with such overcard flop. But when there are multiple callers after such big raise, guess what, most likely you're beat.

more importantly to get more in the pot because youve got a very good chance of winning it (but beware any ace that drops)

Quads are always nice, I was watching the WPT the other day and a player caught quad J's on the turn and went all in, I thought it was the worst play Id ever seen, good thing he lost, I hope he loses every tournament he ever plays in

Wow you have had a nice string of hands..i definatly love the quad jacks..I wouldve been nervous about you having quads also and there is no way I wouldve folded the KK no matter what...I wouldve been more nervous about the other person hitting the straight then having an over pair...but with the way he/she was betting I wouldnt have put them on the strt i would put them on high cards or a medium to high pocket pair...nice hands:-D
