Default Books and e-books

I have been playing poker for about 3 months now and I am loving it. I play with a couple of buddies on Fridays. I have been doing okay winning $40 or so for the first couple of weeks and then lately losing $20 or so. I am just wondering if there are any books or better yet e-books that anyone would recommend for me to read to better my poker knowledge. The main game is of course Texas, but we also play Omaha, 7 card stud, Follow the Queen, and No Peek. So any poker books that would better my knowledge of any of the games would be great, but mainly looking for a Texas Hold'Em book that helps me.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

i'd agree with fonz, Doyle Brunson's Super System is viewed as the benchmark book in the texas hold em world. definately worth a read.

if you want the definitive book get David Sklansky and Mason Malmuth's "Hold 'Em Poker For Advanced Players". Without doubt the best poker book about. As long as you understand the basics in poker you'll understand this book. Go onto some sites like Amazon and read what the book entails. I would recommend this book to any poker player. It enhanced my game no end.

you can read the first few pages of the book on amazon.com as well, but it doesn't let you on amazon.co.uk for some reason?

if you play tournaments don't get sklansky's book "tournament play for advanced players" though. I know of a few people who say it helped them but to be honest it ruined my tounament game to begin with. I picked up a few tips from it but it goes into too much depth on the EV etc for my liking. I know it all comes into the game as do hand odds and pot odds etc but they're quite easy to figure out whereas if I was to use his theories I'd need a calculator at the table and would need about 5 minutes to do the workings out before I could act.
