SNG stats.

I just finished a little mini-test I was conducting on the profit of SNG's and figured I would share the stats with everyone.


Anyway I decided to play 100 SNG's, primarily $5 single table @ stars ( although I threw in a couple of $10 and $20 games) to see how profitable they were.


I played 100 games and finished "in the money" (ITM) 43 times (43%).
lower than i expected. I was expectring a 45-50% range.

Over the 100 games my net profit was $210.50 and my average placement was 1.81 . I finished in 1st place 20 times, in 2nd place 11 times, and 3rd place 12 times.

I was dealt a total of 7,524 hands and saw the flop 1,743 times (23%):
Of the 43 games I won I was dealt 4,832 hands in which i saw the flop
1,226 times (25%)
Of the 57 games In which i failed to place ITM I was dealt 2,692 hands
in which I seen the flop 517 times (19%)

I went to showdown a total of 733 times in which i won 392 hands (53%):
Of the 43 games I won, I went to showdown 537 times and won 325 hands (61%)
Of the 57 games I didnt place ITM I went to showdown 196 times and
won 67 hands (34%)

I won a total of 1,149 hands out of 7,524 without a showdown (15%)
Of the 43 games I won, 923 hands were won w/o showdown (19%)
Of the 57 games I didnt place ITM, 226 hands were won w/o
showdown (8%)




Any comments to the stats would be appreciated.

I found a couple of things interesting. The first thing was the % of how many times i seen the flop. During session in which I won it was 25% vs. 19% when i failed to cash.

Of the 1743 times in which i seen the flop, 733 of them went to showdown (43%).

At showdown i won 61% of the hands in the games I finished ITM vs. 34% in the games i failed to cash.

And finally I won 923 hands (19%) in the 43 games i finished ITM by getting my opponent to fold before a showdown vs. only 226 hands (8%) in 57 games in which i failed to finish ITM.
