Anyone Keep a log?

ive saw this on a few articles

im gonna start keeping a log of everytime i play poker (not play money games though)

basically im just gonna note
type of game - eg no limit/number of players etc, the starting time, the end time, the starting amount, the end amount, the highest amount and the lowest amount

i will use the highest and lowest amounts to give me an idea of the variance i have

recently ive been playing well but then losing a lot near the end on silly hands

im hoping that the notebook/log will keep me in check and overtime improve my overall game

does anyone else do this??

As strange as it seems, the majority of winning poker players - players who actually beat the games and have an expectation of profit - are broke or nearly broke most of the time. Why? Because they spend their bankrolls. Think about it.

I started to make a log a few months ago but noticed as soon as I started it I wasn't winning as much !!! I know it had nothing to do with the log but being superstitious I had to stop using it and hey presto my winnings started going up again.

ive been keeping a log the last few weeks
i think its improved my game a lot - its very important to show the losses as well
