Default When your cheap leader and someone is getting eaten by the blinds

say you are quite a tight agressive player and that you follow the standard card hands of raising with pocket raises, calling with high pairs etc

how many cards do you drop down when you are chip leader at a table (ie. would you now call with a low pair in middle position) if the people left in the pot are getting killed off with the pots

on chans website you can download some small interviews hes done on real player. He goes on about how hell stay away from players with a lot of chips and bully people with little - as even if you call their all in you still have money to play with.

This is obviously a good strategy - however, can you do this too much. Ive saw players doing this well in a tourney and then getting cocky and making someone go all in when they have like 72 offsuit

Whats your strategy in this situation - im curious to how other players play in this situation

If I'm chip leader or in the top 3-4 when it's down to the last 15 or so players, I tend to get tighter depending on what position I'm in.

I will definately not go with one of the other chip leaders unless I've got a hand I can't lay down.

If there's been plenty of folding and I'm in late position I may call with a hand I wouldn't usually play if I was calling one of the small stacks and see what the flop was.

I think this is probably the best way to play. The first few times I got into the last 20 or so I kept playing the same style and attacking whenever I thought it possible whether it was against big stacks or not. I soon found out to my cost this wasn't the way to play and would go out after losing a big pot and suddenly finding myself as one of the little fish again.
