| | | | im definately adding a chat room soon
i want to add a better chat room than the one at THF as that is pretty limited
Ive emailed a few companies this week about it and im actively looking into scripts - with the site launch this week and organising games ive not had time to follow it up
it will be added soon - dont worry about that

| | | | so i take it that means you are doing chat thru the site rather than IRC? | |

| | | | I think your doing the right thing and the problem is not likely to go away soon. Stand on your convictions and do what you know is right, and let the whiners whine.... :cool | |

Also, I know a lot of you out there play in either play money or ring games right before the freerolls and if you see someone giving out or even giving hints to what the password is, make sure you write down their names and give them to Fonz.
These idiots need to be banned also.
Thank you Fonz for trying to stop some of these cheaters.
Are you sure you're not the president of PokerStars ??? J/P

| | | | yeah, i gotta agree the best thing we here at the forums can do is watch for these people and report them to both fonz and the site, hopefully if these guys get caught enough times the will be banned from other poker sites. the only other thing would be to find out their IPs that way we can block them from joining here and we could post their emails and spam them. | | | | You know, the real problem here is just a lack of someone who knows all the various bits of software well enough to to a one off job and automate the process. I'll suggest a process....
1. Admin person runs a program which presents a simple dialog which asks for name of cardroom, date and time. That can hardly be a burden on the user, and so far it's trivial software.
2. That program then queries the membeship database for our e-mail addresses and user names for the specific site (members would have to enter more info for that) and sends us invites
3. The invites include Accept/Decline buttons a la Microsoft Outlook method.
4. We click on the approriate button and response is automatically sent
5. Program receives responses and generates list of entrants
6. This is then sent to the cardroom (ie, we don't register individually, be en-bloc)
Two other problems spring to mind, a) if the cardroom would need a notice period, so we would hav to make up our minds to play in advance, not at the last minute and b) getting the cardrooms to accept the list and make the entries. The latter could also be automated as a one off job if someone could persuade the rooms to do it.
An alternative would be for us to trust our dear admin (we do don't we?) and submit our card room passwords to this site. This mythical bit of software could then log on as us, register using a password which is never made public and log off again.
But we ain't got anybody to do this for us, so pointing out the glaring holes in those ideas will be a bit pointless.
The real message is, it must be conceivable to do something like that, it's just a question of some bright spark conceiving it!

| | | | I don't know computors very well. How do you see if someone has more than one account? How can they play two accounts at one time without having a lot of equipment? What does someone gain by giving out the password? If they are so smart why are they fooling with 50 or 100 dollars; just to show off? I can't understand why smart people do such stupid things, I guess they are actually the stupid ones. I know that this is not the forum to explain how people cheat because it might give someone an idea but send me an email and maybe I can help spy out something. | |

| | | | Re: Multiple Accounts @ PokerStars Games, spammers and cheaters at games It sickens me to think people out there are screwing with my hold em mojo! I think if it was obvious it was happening, either at the first or final table, it might turn me right off the game forever.
I really hope you folks figure out a way to keep the passwords secret, I really like the password-to-email-to-site idea as well, if that could come together it would solve the need to have the password.
Vey interesting posts from your readers, keep it up!
Cheers!
