I just had an idea, and I hope that it works out like I imagine it. Here it is. Why dont we have this thread here were everyone posts a few tips or strategies that they have. Then I will start a thread and the only post in that thread will be updated with strategies collected from this thread, and we will have a sort of comprehensive guide that people can read over and hopefully learn from.
So you should post the section of the guide you think your advice would fit into (i.e., betting strategies, bluffing, spotting tells, preflop strategy....etc.) Then the name of your particular strategy or advice (i.e. overbetting, slowplaying, etc.) Then give your advice. Make it short and to the point a couple of sentences should work.
Heres and example of how it will look:
Betting Strategy
Overbetting - Overbetting a strong hand effectively weakens the hand, especially preflop. This makes it likely that the hands you would like to call will fold and only a stronger hand will call you. It will cause your pots to be smaller when you win, and larger when you lose.

I hope that people will contribute to this idea. If two suggestions are very similar I will take the first one posted. However, it is ok to offer a different veiw on the same play. I will try and update the guide as often as possible, as I am very busy just now, maybe some of the other leaders could help me out.
